This is the main Mortgage Minder screen. This is where you tell Mortgage Minder important information about the mortgage to be calculated. As you can see, the top half of the screen has entry boxes for the loan amount, interest rate, term and even a place to enter an additional principal payment to be applied to each monthly payment. You can even tell Mortgage Minder which month to start those extra payments. Later you will see how to enter single extra payments.

The bottom half of this screen displays the information about the loan you defined above. As soon as you make a change in one of the fields above, this information is instantly updated. Notice the amounts on the right side. These values show you instantly, how much you will save in interest by paying an extra amount towards the principal portion of the mortgage. In this case it is zero because there are no extra payments defined.
